# AdLibly Teams teleprompter preflight

Use this five-minute checklist immediately before a Microsoft Teams call. It is designed for an iPad presenter using an iPhone as AdLibly Companion, but the fallback steps also work when you are presenting from one device.

## 1. Assign the jobs

- [ ] Teams is open on: [computer / iPad]
- [ ] The script is open in AdLibly on: [iPad / iPhone]
- [ ] The device that will listen is: [iPhone Companion / presenting device]
- [ ] Headphones are connected to the Teams device, so other speakers are less likely to reach the listening phone.

## 2. Check the sightline

- [ ] The active line sits near the camera or upper edge of the meeting window.
- [ ] I can still see the people, mute control, and shared content I need.
- [ ] The prompt is wide enough to show a short phrase, not one word at a time.

## 3. Pair and test the prompt

- [ ] On iPad: open the script and tap **Present**.
- [ ] On iPhone: open **iPhone Companion**, select the nearby iPad, and enter the four-digit pairing code.
- [ ] Read the opening at my normal pace.
- [ ] Pause for one beat, then continue from the next paragraph.
- [ ] Say one unscripted sentence, then return at the next section heading.

## 4. Choose the fallback before the meeting starts

My next clear landmark is: [for example, “The decision”]

If listening is unavailable or the connection drops:

1. Pause the prompt.
2. Use the manual paragraph controls to return to the next complete idea.
3. Continue with the meeting; do not search for the exact word where I stopped.

## 5. Final meeting check

- [ ] I can hear the call privately.
- [ ] I know where the Teams mute, camera, share, and leave controls are.
- [ ] I have one concise opening, one clear next step, and a visible restart landmark.
